Some people call us nerds, geeks and dorks…

Erik has been working at Reden since 2010. He is mainly involved in projects regarding mechanics, dynamics and fluid dynamics. His favorite activity is inventing new ideas and developing concepts for applications, in close consultation with customers. In his spare time he enjoys sailing and (to a lesser extent) gliding and he likes to play guitar.

Martijn has been employed by Reden since 2009. He likes to solve mechanical problems, is a fanatical mountain bike rider in good weather and does crossfit in bad weather.

Marco is the founder of Reden. In his vision on the development of products and processes there's no room for trial and error. He loves to see his specialists unravel complex design and optimization challenges, and then come up with concrete and realistic solutions.

Kars graduated from the University of Twente with an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering. Over the years he enjoyed coding so much that he decided to pursue a career as a software engineer. In his free time he enjoys mountainbiking and bouldering.

Joy has been working at Reden since 2017. Her expertise lies in setting up and analyzing CFD or multiphysics simulations. She holds a master's degree in thermal engineering, but likes to dive into yet unfamiliar subjects as well. After working hours she enjoys going to the crossfit box for a workout of the day, or to the bouldering hall to solve puzzles on the wall.

Like many mechanical engineers, Ronald is fascinated by how things work. Over the last 10 years at Reden he has contributed to the improvement of very diverse products and production processes. His background lies, next to mechanics, in acoustics and mechatronics. He uses his knowledge to bring problems back to the core and solve them for our customers.

Lambert is always on the lookout for projects with something special. Be it a specific material behaviour, an unknown failure mode or a multiphysics problem: he's up to the challenge! In his spare time he enjoys running, training for distances from 5k to a half marathon.

Jakko Niewenkamp joined Reden 17 years ago, after finishing his MSc in mechanical engineering. As an expert in the field of multi-physics simulations he and his team support clients with their R&D challenges. By using simulations, insight is gained into the underlying mechanisms of problems and is used to find optimal solutions.

Martijn joined Reden in 2022. His background is in physics and numerics, with main expertise in the fluids domain. For Martijn things are getting interesting when they are not well understood; he enjoys getting to the bottom of things to gain control over them. When not at work, Martijn loves to play volleyball and guitar.

Edwin has been working at Reden since 2004. He gets energized by experiencing improvements and progress around him, whether that's in the area of human or technical matters. He enjoys a technical challenge and the process of finding new solutions for complex technical problems.

Jinhua studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Twente. She works as a software engineer at Reden where she, amongst others, manages the code of Reves DSE. In her free time she enjoys crafting things, like clothing and toys for her cats. To relax, she likes to play video games.

Jaap joined Reden in 2009, after 14 years in product development and manufacturing consultancy at Philips. He likes to use his creativity and analytical skills to invent new things and solve problems. How to convey his love for the sea and sailing to his children is a problem he is still working on.

Joachim is our youngest employee at Reden, but with his vast experience in construction he has a unique set of problem solving skills and a great sense of reality. Combined with his excellent social capabilities he knows how to provide customers with solutions to their problems.

Mart obtained his master's degree in mechanical engineering with a graduation assignment at Reden in 2013 – 2014. He joined Reden in 2014 as an expert in the areas of flow, heat transfer, mechanical engineering and Reves DSE. In his leisure time he enjoys sporting activities such as fitness and football, and he likes to DIY at home.

Niels seemed to be right on track, with an MSc in Mechanical Engineering, when all of a sudden he decided to turn to the dark side. Software development became his new life goal. He now develops software for and with our clients, while using his background to build an innovational bridge between Mechanical Engineering and software development.

Christian joined Reden in 2023 after obtaining his MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering. He loves to break down complicated flow problems to their essence, to get insights in physical phenomena, and then add layers to models and simulations to arrive at meaningful conclusions about real-life problems. In his free time Christian will gladly challenge you to a game of chess.

Wouter graduated from the University of Twente with an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering. During his internship at Reden at the end of 2021, he liked the team, the flat organizational structure and the working atmosphere, so he decided to join the software team. He enjoys every day working with lines of code that magically perform complex tasks.

Maarten joined Reden 15 years ago, after having worked at various companies in development and engineering. Maarten is an allrounder who can cover a development from A to Z. Particular fields of expertise are heat transfer and fluid dynamics. If he is not working, he is probably playing guitar.

Harm is a mechanical engineer experienced in simulating products, production processes and their interactions. He combines knowledge of materials and numerics, and uses that specific expertise to support partners in finding solutions for their questions.

Sebastiaan is a specialist in fluid dynamics. He quickly understands new ideas and likes to work on them. He will always find time to support his team and he enjoys conversations during coffee breaks.
